Pan-Resistance; A Rising Challenge in Burns Patients

Introduction: Burn injuries by fire and hot liquids contact with surfaces have been recognized as a significant major public health problem in economically developing countries. Objectives: The main objective of the study is to find incidence pan-resistant strain infections, burns Khyber teaching hospital, Peshawar. Material methods: A retrospective observational was conducted determine infections burn patients at Teaching Hospital, over period 12 months, from January 1, 2022, December 31, 2022. Hospital tertiary care hospital located Peshawar, capital city Pakhtunkhwa province Pakistan. Results: Table 1 presents demographic clinical characteristics population. table shows that included 100 injuries, mean age 28.5 years (SD 14.7). majority were male (70.0%) had covering more than 10% their total body surface area (78.0%). most common cause injury flame (52.0%). length stay 15.4 days. Practical Implication: This implies plays role finding proper antibiotics which will be used for wounds. Conclusion: concludes proportion bacterial isolates obtained wound cultures resistant multiple antibiotics, Acinetobacter baumannii showing pattern.
